Hall 3, RAI Amsterdam, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Welcome

Dear Delegate

On behalf of the faculty, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this satellite symposium, which will focus on recent transformations in the management of rheumatic disease.

I will open the symposium by discussing how patients were managed in the pre-biologic era and how TNF inhibitors led the way in revolutionizing rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment over the past 15 years. Professor Boulos Haraoui will then discuss transforming standards of care, focusing on the importance of treat to target and adherence, and the role of patient support programs in achieving optimal outcomes. Dr. Wouter Bos will then describe the role of the patient in achieving treatment targets, and provide insights on how modern technologies can help patients to assess their own disease. Finally, Dr. Lisa Olson will discuss the drug development process, and provide examples of promising molecules currently in early development. The symposium will close with an interactive panel discussion and Q&A session, allowing delegates to ask the faculty members questions.

We are delighted that you have joined us at what we anticipate will be a highly stimulating and valuable symposium.

Kind regards
